Bad Blood

Bad Blood is a quest available in Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines.

In The Asylum, Therese gives you this quest after completing (or not) the Slashterpiece quest.

Walkthrough[]

Brief[]

Head to the Surfside Diner.
A pack of thugs attack when the protagonist is close to the phone.
1. You can kill them. ( 2 EXP)
2. In Plus Patch only, you can solve the conflict using dialog option. ( 2 EXP)
Answer the phone and receive the Sibling Rivalry quest.
Return to The Asylum.

Detailed[]

After speaking to Therese, leave the Asylum, and go to the Surfside Diner across the street. When you enter there will be four thugs to your left.

If you have the plus patch and don't want to fight them speak to the one in the green shirt. You can Persuade him to leave you alone if your persuade skill is four or Intimidate him to back down if your intimidate skill is three. You can also use Dementation on him. It costs one blood point and requires one point in dementation. Avoiding the fight will prevent the player from picking up dropped weapons and ammo, however.

Otherwise, head to the back of the diner like Therese told you to. As soon as you reach the back booth the thugs will open fire. Kill them and don't worry too much about the masquerade. The other diner inhabitants are too afraid to pay much attention. Feeding and Disciplines will go unnoticed. (in the plus patch, the diner is empty except for the thugs.)

Once the thugs have been dealt with for ( +2 Exp) go to the back of the diner again and answer the phone. Either Jeanette or Therese will be in the other end depending on who likes you more. Each will blame the other for setting you up and ask you to meet them at the Asylum. If Therese is on the other end Jeanette will take the opportunity to beg for your help just before she hangs up. Leave the diner and go back to the Asylum to continue the quest line with Sibling Rivalry.
