Celerity is a powerful Discipline which allows Kindred to move at an incredible speed. With a high Melee score, a Kindred can dispatch many enemies while using Celerity. However, it breaks the Masquerade; consequently, it must be used only in Combat zones. The reason why this Discipline is a Masquerade breaker is that the extremely fast vampire will leave behind him or her an afterimage trail, due to the phenomenon of illusory palinopsia.
Celerity affects attack speed, but only when using firearms.
Note: Celerity is a progressive Discipline like Presence or Potence. It has no individual powers, just one effect which grows in strength.
