Night at the Library is a quest available in Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines.The quest was cut from the game before release, and as such, can only be accessed by using the Unoffical Patch's Plus version.
Acquisition[]
Go to any Haven and receive an email from Beckett asking for assistance.
Walkthrough[]
Brief[]
- Meet Scott at the Santa Monica Smoke Shop.
- Go to the meeting at the end of the Santa Monica Pier.
- Head to the coffee shop in santa monica.
- Find the computer behind the "Employees Only" door
- Hack it (or enter password "Ankara")
- Read "fifth"
- Travel Downtown and enter the sewers to find the library entrance.
- Power up the elevator.
- Find the library card in the library to your left, on the central desk
- Head to the art gallery, across from the library
- Find the computer behind the door marked "Utility"
- Head to the computer, and type "insert card"
- Hack (or enter password "Awaken")
- Unlock the hidden switch
- Press the same mandala in the art gallery, that is shown on the floor
- Enter the secret tunnel, and descend the staircase
- There is nothing behind the staircase
- Stop the Sabbat ritual, gaining a broadsword
- Kill the Lasombra.

Detailed[]
After receiving the email from Beckett, go to the Santa Monica Smoke Shop to meet with Scott. Upon arriving, find a note left by him at the far end of the shop. Leave and head to the Santa Monica Pier. At the far end of the pier, find another note left by Scott. Leave and head to the Coffee Shop next to Gallery Noir. Check Scott's laptop in the back room for the next clue. Now, travel downtown.
After arriving in Downtown, delve into the sewers and locate the library entrance next to Sewer entrance E. A convenient path is to use the sewer entrance behind Fat Larry, the arms dealer, and go straight to the hatch, passing the tunnel fork on the right. You'll find yourself in the library basement. Power the elevator using Vacuum Tubes located in the main room and flick the switch. Head up the elevator to the library proper.
Here, sneak past the guards and locate the library card in the room left of the last main hall on the desk. Take the library card to the room on the opposite side of the main hall and find a computer in the back room. Insert the card and "unlock" an entrance using the computer. Note a small symbol/painting on the ground next to you, head back to the previous art room and find the painting identical to it, activating it opens the secret entrance in the computer room.
Head down the secret tunnel and find a Sabbat ritual taking place; intervene and kill the hostile Lasombra. 2 EXP
Return to your haven, and read a new email from Beckett, thanking you for saving his friend. 1 EXP

- In the older Unofficial Patch Plus versions (up to 9.3 at least) the quest starts with the reception of Beckett's email and skips the events in Santa Monica following with the travel to the library entrance through the sewers like the indications says as the Coffee Shop and Smoke Shop may not be available.
- Likely due to the incomplete nature of the quest, there is a bug when interacting with the sewer entrance, if the interacted with twice, before the loading screen appears, it simply reloads the cell the player is currently in, rather than transporting them to the otherside.
- The second to last quest update has confusing wording, unclear if you are to kill everyone, or only hostiles. eitherway, there appears to be no consequence to either option, not even humanity loss.
- After the quest is complete, and the player enters the elevator to leave, a Tzimisce flesh-golem spawns in it, attacking immediately.
