He is from Wisconsin. He calls Deb to tell her about the scripts he plans to write (which are not very good). When trying to promote himself, The Personal Assistant tells him to go back to Wisconsin.

He wants to be a writer but he is not good. He talks a lot but many of his ideas have little to no sense.
