The Sewers of L.A are used to connect various points in the city. Some areas (like the Nocturne Theatre can only be accessed via the sewers. It is an important transportation method for Nosferatu, as it allows them to move quickly around the city without fear of violating the Masquerade. Rats are also found in the sewers, which can be used to get blood, except for when you are a Ventrue.
There are also other sections of the sewers that are inhabited by specific people of groups of people, for example the Warrens and Brother Kranker's section of the Sewers. Some parts of the sewers are also being used by the Tzimisce, probably because of the secrecy they provide. Certain parts of the sewers are only accessible after the player goes through a certain amount of the story, like the access tunnels to the Ocean House Hotel.
