“ | For when you want to get medieval on someone's ass. ―In-game Description | ” |
The torch is a melee weapon in Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines. This is arguably one of the best melee weapons for fighting most undead opponents in the game due to its aggravated damage.
The torch lights up the surrounding and unsurprisingly, raising light level around the user up to the max, effectively preventing stealth regardless of how many stealth feats the player has.
Torch operates much like any blunt weapons. Its basic combo consists of a left-right swing and finishing with a downward heavy bash. Only the last hit of the basic combo can hit opponents that are laying on the ground. Another way to hit a downed opponent is to use the back + attack combo to perform a leaping bash.
Torch stealth kills have the player headlock the victim with the torch before jerking backward, breaking their neck in the process.
Acquisition[]
- Available as a drop from Hunters in the Society of Leopold monastery and can be found in the last Hallowbrook Hotel map.
- It can also be found on female Hunters that appear with a Masquerade violation of 3 or higher with the Unofficial Patch enabled.
Trivia[]
- The in-game description for the torch could also be a reference to the 1994 film Pulp Fiction, wherein Marcellus Wallace played by Ving Rhames says a near identical line towards the end of the film.
